Access & Other Policies
We do our best to make your storage rental experience a
good one. However, there are limitations and restrictions that
you must be aware of which you will find below.
Computer controlled gate access:
- Seven days per week from 6am to 10pm (limited
24 hour access is also potentially available)
- Customers with past due charges may find
themselves denied access to the computer controlled entry gate.
Other access matters:
For your understanding and protection, it is important that you
understand who will and will not be permitted access to your
storage unit. Your storage rental agreement sets forth the circumstances
under which various parties may gain access to your unit.
Generally, anyone who has possession of the key to your storage
unit is assumed to have the authority to enter your storage unit.
You should read your Storage Rental Agreement carefully. In addition, the
following are some examples of the
circumstances under which access may be denied:
- Customers with past due charges may find their storage units
overlocked with a Broadview Mini-Storage lock until their past
due charges are brought up to date.
- Unless one of the Occupants whose name is noted as an
Occupant on the Rental Agreement properly identifies himself or
herself as an Occupant (or the provisions of Section 15 of the
Rental Agreement apply), Broadview Mini-Storage will not
knowingly give access to your storage unit (e.g. cut off your
lock) for any other person unless that person is properly
authorized under law.
- Some examples of situations where access will
be denied to persons without a key or without proper legal
authorization include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Spouses, boyfriends/girlfriends, children or
other family members.
- Survivors, without appropriate legal
documents, upon the death of an Occupant.
- Agents or representatives of the Occupant
without proper legal documentation.
Minimum rental, refund and move out polices:
- We request a few days notice of
your intent to move out.
- If you move out and leave a lock on your storage unit,
you will be charged rent for that period until we find out
about the situation and your lock is removed.
- Minimum rental period is 30 days, therefore no
refunds on storage rental periods of less than 30 days.
- If you received a multi-month prepayment
discount and you move out before the end of the prepaid
period, any refund that may be given will be computed based
upon our normal, undiscounted rental rates.
- To the extent that a refund may be given, a
refund check will be mailed to you, generally within seven
days.
Non-smoking facility:
- Broadview Mini-Storage is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is
prohibited everywhere on the site, especially in or adjacent
to storage units.
